Shobha Reddy, fitness guru and Founder of Reddi2Workout, motivated and trained people across the Bay Area to reach their personal fitness goals.
With a Masters in Finance, Shobha worked as a top producer in financial services for over 15 years, before deciding to pursue her childhood interest in athletics, and becoming a certified fitness and strength trainer.
Shobha was a popular strength trainer, especially in the South Asian community because she understood the diet and exercise challenges as well as health concerns unique to South Asians. She also designed strength programs for Bharatanatyam dancers, using her experience as a former classical dancer to prepare them for the rigors of their arangetrams (graduation).
She taught at the YMCA, Club One, and ICC before launching her studio Reddi2Workout, where she trained students and conducted workshops such as Beach Boot Camp. She held certifications in Yogalates, Bosu Training, Glider, Spinning, Medicine Ball, Pilates, and Free Weights. In addition, she trained clients for marathons and prepared them to trek mountains.
Wanting to give something back to her community, Shobha worked with the Living Strong Living Well Stanford Program where she trained cancer recovery patients in strength training. She was on the Wellness Committee of the South Asian Heart Center, and conducted numerous 6-week personal fitness programs for its participants.
Shobha had a deep and enduring interest in meditation and served as a preceptor to people interested in learning and practicing meditation to enhance their physical and mental well being.
She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife and mother.
